Grounds of Marriott’s Harbour Lake in Orlando Florida

The Marriott’s Harbour Lake in Orlando Florida is a beautiful resort.  It is a large resort with many buildings.  After entering the resort through the front gates, we immediately checked in which was a breeze. The resort has a southern charm to it.  It has bright blue and yellow buildings with an old time feel. At check in, we received the weekly activities and about the amenities (see below). The front of the resort has a lagoon and the back has a lake.

Activities at Marriott’s Harbour Lake in Orlando Florida

You can stay as engaged and busy as you desire at Marriott Harbour Lake.  You can choose to lounge by either of the two pools.  Enjoy day or nightly entertainment. Or play basketball, tennis, soccer, ping pong, mini golf, etc.

Food Options:

There are two onsite places to grab a snack or a meal.  The Patio Bar and Grill is located right next to Shipwreck landing pool.   The outpost is close to the Florida Falls pool/slide and splash-pad, next to the playground, mini golf and ping pong area. The outpost was great for grabbing snacks, drinks or sunscreen (if you need some).  My kids ate dinner from the Patio Bar and Grill a few nights, my hubby and I opted to order from Uber Eats.  We wanted to try some local restaurants without getting in the car.  Overall the food was good onsite and would recommend giving it a try.

The Pools:

As mentioned above the Marriott Harbour Lake Resort has two pool options: Shipwreck Landing and Florida Falls. Shipwreck landing is a pool complex featuring a pirate ship with water slides. Younger kids are sure this area while Mom and Dad can relax near them.  Both pools have water slides with the bigger slide at Florida Falls.  During our stay a cold front moved into the Orlando area, so I was happy for the hot tub options also.  One thing I did notice is that the pools had a ton of very young kids but not many pre-teen/teenagers.

Resort Entertainment

The entertainment at Marriott Harbour Lake Resort varies from crafts to poker to magic shows to karaoke to smores night.  A full list of activities will be given to you at check in.  We choose smores night which was great! They had a guitar playing singing and smores roasting on the fire.  We also listened to the dueling pianos and karaoke night.  I would recommend all 3.  We really wanted to go to magic night but missed out.

Guest Rooms at Marriott’s Harbour Lake in Orlando Florida

We stayed in a King Suite, which we booked through our Interval International timeshare website.  There was 2 adults and 2 kids in the room for 7 nights.  Our timeshare allows us a comparable room to our home resort.  We have a 1 bedroom unit but typically Marriott properties rooms trade down to a suite.  The room was very night.  It had one king bed, a pull out sofabed (where the kids slept), bathroom, patio and a small kitchenette.  The kitchenette contained a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, plates, etc. Perfect size if your planning onmaking lunches, cereal in the morning, etc.

We enjoyed the room.  For 4 people it was a good size but definitely had to keep our clothes organized.  Otherwise it could have gotten messy quickly.  Any more than 4 people (including kids), I would recommend the next sized room up.

Location of Marriott’s Harbour Lake in Orlando Florida

The location of Marriott’s Harbour Lake Resort was fantastic.  It only took us ~15 minutes to the magic kingdom.  It is less than 5 minutes to Sea World and Discovery Cove (the dolphin experience).  We also opted for a beach day to Cocoa Beach which took less than 1 hour from the hotel.  Kennedy Space Center was about the same.  For additional attractions driving times click here.

There are lots of restaurants, shopping and grocery stores within 5-10 miles too.

My overall rating of Marriott’s Harbour Lake in Orlando Florida

I give the Marriott Harbour Lake Resort 8.5 star rating.

To be fair I also pulled data from a rating I use a lot.  The resort received  STARS from 871 Google reviews.  However, I based my rating on a scale from 1-10.

Overall, Marriott Harbour Lake Resort in Orlando Florida is an excellent place to stay for a week. #kellyluvsblog #kellyluvs #marriott #marriottharbourlake #orlandohotels #marriothotelreviewClick To Tweet”
