Ever wondered how to enjoy one perfect day in Los Angeles with your friends or family? Well my girlfriends and I just faced this question. We decided to all take some time to brainstorm what each of us wanted to do. It all started with the beach, I know shocking right. If you know anything about me I will always pick the beach and since we live in Arizona we do not have easy access to the beach. Los Angeles has so many beaches but we quickly narrowed it down. Read more to see how we enjoyed a perfect day in Los Angeles.
We choose Santa Monica beach for the variety of activities available to us. We decided we wanted to rent bikes to ride along the great paths and explore more areas. The sun was out and it was a perfect day. But first lunch.
We walked to the end of the pier and found a great Mexican spot called Marisol. It had the perfect view and we ordered a round of margaritas. From Marisol’s you can look at the Santa Monica Pier, Ocean, Mountains, People Watch, etc. The food was yummy and at the end of the meal they gave us a souvenir photo. (You can purchase one too but we opted for the free version).
After lunch we walked down the pier and found Blazing Saddles to rent our bikes. It was way more affordable than we thought. $20 for a 2 hour rental. We opted for the $1 basket also to hold our stuff, Great Deal right?
We started down the pier and headed to the path. It was a little tricky to get there but once on the path, it is a wonderful ride. The path is busy but so much to look at. We headed toward Venice beach so the ocean was on our right side. We stopped many times to watch street performances, took a stroll down to the ocean, of course pictures, etc. It was a perfect way to spend two hours and a great start to our a perfect day in Los Angeles.
To continue a perfect day in Los Angeles we hoped in the car and drove to Hollywood to experience on the TMZ Celebrity Tour. We stayed at the W Hollywood so we checked in and walked down the Hollywood Walk of Fame to the tour. Lots of sites to look at in the 1 mile walk.

We had a great time but didn’t spot any celebrities. We laughed alot and saw a ton of sites on our tour.
After the tour we were famished and ready for dinner to continue a perfect day in Los Angeles.
Where to eat dinner:
I recommend Pump (known as Los Angeles sexiest restaurant) especially if you are fans of the Real Housewives show. This restaurant is owned by Lisa Vanderpump. Most of my girlfriends watch the show and really wanted to try it.
It is simply stunning and the food was delicious. The atmosphere is incredible. We ate outside but it is covered with a tent. You are surrounded by beautiful trees and colorful umbrellas. Our reservations were at 8pm on a Sunday night and every table was full.
My friends were anxiously looking for the cast. Our waiter told us Lisa VanDerPump had been in the night before.
To end a perfect day in Los Angeles we went back to the hotel.
Where to stay:
We choose the W Hollywood based on the proximity to what we wanted to do and trying to limit how much and how far we had to drive while experiencing a Perfect day in Los Angeles. It is located in the heart of Hollywood, this hotel is steps from Pantages Theatre, Hollywood Walk of Fame, and Capitol Records Tower. Dolby Theater and TCL Chinese Theatre are also within 1 mile.
It is seriously the perfect place to stay! It is very swanky, perfectly designed and a great location. The rooms were comfortable and we really enjoyed our time.
OK, that is it. I hope you get to experience one of more or all of the day we had. It was the perfect day and I know I can’t wait to do it again!
