1.  Akismet

A very useful wordpress plugin for your blog. It checks your comments and contact form submissions against their global database of spam to prevent your site from publishing malicious content. If you were allowed to have only one word press plugin, this is the one I would choose. Yoast tells you exactly what you need to include in a blog post to make it easier to find in Google and how to optimize your posts to give your keywords their best chance.

3. Jetpack:

If you’re used to some of’s special features (such as stats, galleries, etc) then you’ll love Jetpack. Jetpack supercharges your WordPress dashboard with a ton of features. I personally love it for the stats. They might not be as accurate as Google Analytics, but they provide a quick snap- shot that’s great for keeping tabs on things. The monitor feature is great too — they’ll notify you when your site is down so you can take the necessary action to get it back up again (or at least contact your host).
